Baptism at CDA
In the waters of baptism, we publicly identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection celebrating the life-changing power of the Gospel that has transformed countless hearts here at CDA.
Baptism isn’t a ritual or requirement for salvation it’s the beautiful first act of obedience after trusting Jesus as Savior. It’s where your personal encounter with God’s presence becomes a public testimony, igniting faith in others and joining the revival fire we’ve seen move so powerfully since our beginnings.
What We Believe About Baptism
Weekly meetings (usually 60–90 minutes) about Bible discussion, and time for personal sharing.
It’s an outward symbol of an inward reality: dying to sin, being buried with Christ, and rising to new life in the Holy Spirit.
Every baptism Sunday is a celebration of God’s faithfulness families restored, hearts healed, and lives ignited, just like the miracles we’ve witnessed together.

What to Expect on Baptism Day
Public Celebration: Baptisms usually take place during a Sunday service (often special Baptism Sundays announced via the app, Instagram @cdachurchclt, or email). The whole church family gathers in joy and expectancy to cheer you on.
The Moment: You’ll be immersed in water (full immersion) by a pastor, symbolizing burial and resurrection. It’s simple, meaningful, and Spirit-filled often with worship, prayer, and testimonies.
Atmosphere: Expect warmth, excitement, and the tangible presence of God. Many share how the moment brought breakthrough, freedom, and deeper connection to the community.
Practical Details: Wear modest dark clothing (we provide a baptism shirt if needed), bring a towel/change of clothes, and arrive early for prep/prayer.
